In collaboration with NFL Flag and the Ashland Recreation Center, we are pleased to offer a Flag Football program for residents of Ashland and the surrounding towns.  We will offer 3 divisions – Grades 1&2, 3&4 and 5&6.   Each week will consist of 2 practice sessions and 1 game.  Practices will vary during the week depending on field and coach availability and games will be on Saturday mornings.   The season will run from early September though the end of October with playoffs to follow.   All games and practices will be in Ashland.
Each player will be provided an Official reversible NFL Flag Jersey.  No other equipment besides a mouth guard is required.  This 5 on 5 format focuses entirely on skills positions.  Players will learn fundamental formations and defenses, basic plays and concepts, and the importance of collaboration and working together as a team.

Turkey Bowl games will be held on Thanksgiving morning at 8am at the middle school for our 3/4 and 5/6 divisions. There will also be Alumni Bowl games for past 7th & 8th grade players. If you are interested in playing, please register your child in your Ashland Recreation MyRec account no later than Sunday, November 24th. We will draft teams the following Monday. Depending on the number of participants, we may create more than 1 game per division (all games will be at the same time - either on the turf or the grass).
